A Great Day!

Some days are just better than others--wouldn't you agree? Well, today was just an all-around great day!

I was busy working with Elizabeth on my Tonga Bible study for the Ladies’ Bible study, when Wes came in and said, “We need to go down to the shelter to meet Blu and Darbi in a few minutes to discuss Elizabeth’s request to have her niece come to visit during the holidays.” I am sure that Elizabeth was wondering why all four of us were needed to discuss this issue, and so was I, until Wes whispered in my ear, “We are going to tell her the good news.”

After discussing the issue about her niece, Wes handed Elizabeth a piece of paper and said, “We want you to look at this paper and tell us what it is means.” She began to read the paper...

and then suddenly her face lit up, she gasped, covered her mouth, and tears began streaming down her face. She stood up and began dancing and hugging us all when she realized what it all meant.

The paper was a list of things prepared by Darbi that will need to be done if Elizabeth is going to accept the invitation of her sponsors, Lance and Staci Norton, to visit them in America. The list looked something like this:

1. Fill out visa application.

2. Fill out application for a passport.

3. Get passport pictures.

4. Get yellow fever shot.

5. FLY TO AMERICA!

The plan is for Elizabeth to fly back to America with Lance and Staci who are bringing a team to work here at New Day in June. She will have great opportunities to share with people what God is doing at New Day.

We are so excited for Elizabeth, as she has always wanted to be a missionary but never thought it possible. Well, we believe God will use her in great ways in the states, and she may even have an opportunity to attend a youth camp while she is there.

Please pray for Elizabeth as she prepares for the biggest adventure of her life, and pray for Lance and Staci as they try to work out all the logistics.
